Guy or Guido Fawkes, was an Englishman, born in 1570, whose father passed away at an early age. His mother remarried a man of the Catholic faith who raised the family.From 1534 when the Church of England was establish and in the vein of the Protestant Christian values and beliefs. This moved the country away from its previous Catholic Christian culture.
